We built the tool we
wished existed.
MaintainEase started from a simple frustration: Indian housing societies were managing crores in finances on Excel sheets held together by one Treasurer who might leave any day. We decided to fix that.
India's housing societies were stuck in 1995.
Millions of Indians live in cooperative housing societies, RWAs, and gated communities. These communities collectively manage thousands of crores in maintenance funds, sinking funds, and corpus funds every year.
Yet when we looked at how most of these societies managed their finances, the answer was: an Excel file on one person's laptop. Sometimes a paper register. Occasionally a WhatsApp group that doubled as an accounting system.
The consequences were real — treasurer handover disasters, audit failures, undetected fraud, residents with no visibility into where their money went. Not because committees were careless. Because the tools didn't exist.
Treasurer change = financial chaos
When the outgoing Treasurer is the only person who understands the Excel file, handover means months of confusion and potential data loss.
Audit season panic every year
Committees spend weeks preparing for the statutory audit — manually compiling records that should have been automatically maintained all year.
Residents had no financial visibility
Asking "how much is in the corpus fund?" should take seconds. In most societies, it required a call to the Treasurer and a wait of several days.
Accounting-first. Everything else second.
Most society apps start with community features and bolt on billing later. We did the opposite. We built a double-entry accounting engine first, then made it simple enough for a non-accountant to use.
Built for compliance
Every transaction follows double-entry accounting rules. The books are always audit-ready — not just at year-end, but every single day.
Simple enough for volunteers
Society committees are volunteers — not professional accountants. We designed every screen to be usable without financial training.
Transparent to everyone
Every resident can see their bills, payment history, and receipts. The committee can share financial reports with confidence.

Early and growing. Every society we onboard makes the product better for the next one.
A platform built around the real job
The real job of a society Treasurer is not data entry. It's ensuring the society is financially healthy. We built tools that do the data entry so Treasurers can focus on that.
Automated monthly billing
One click bills every flat. Late fees calculated automatically. Defaulter list updates itself.
Double-entry accounting
Every payment posts journal entries automatically. Balance sheet and I&E always current.
Audit-ready reports
Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Income & Expenditure — generated in one click, any time.
Fund management
Corpus fund, sinking fund, and maintenance income tracked separately — always clean.
Built for Indian residential communities
